Buckman Decision Still On Hold
Brad Buckman, a 6-8, 210-pound workhorse from Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, is going to sit down and have dinner tonight with his high school coach, according to Brad's family.
"He has not made a decision," Brad's mom told us this afternoon. "He is still confused. Trying to make a decision on staying home or going away is very tough for anyone."
Buckman has his list down to North Carolina and Texas. Brad's mom said there is no timeframe for a decision but said that her son will make a choice when he is comfortable with a school.
Last night, Buckman told us he still may need a week to two weeks to make up his mind. "It's a very tough decision," Buckman said previously. "These are two great schools. The race is so close. I am trying to work my way through it step by step."
Buckman impressed many onlookers with his fundamental knowledge of the game this summer. He faced the basket and shot the ball well. He was very active on both ends of the court. Buckman is very athletic and battles for every loose ball. He has a sweet stroke on his jumper. He is a legitimate candidate for the McDonald's All American team.
