"Everything at Colorado was really great so I went ahead and gave them my commitment. I knew it was the place for me so I didn't see why I should wait longer to announce," he said. "The city is really beautiful and all of the people I met, not just those involved with the basketball team, were really friendly and nice."
While on his visit Bryant, 6-foot-9, 250-pounds, had a chance to visit with the players and coaches.
"I really liked the players they were cool. They made me feel like I was already one of the team and I appreciated that," Bryant said. "The whole coaching staff has been honest to me and they really showed me that I could fit right into their system and play."
Bryant indicated that Colorado was a long way from his home in Rome, Georgia but he was excited about the opportunity in from of him.
"Colorado is a long way from Georgia but I think my mom is going to go there and stay with me for a while," he said. "But it is a great opportunity to get out and meet new people and experience different things."
Last season Bryant averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 3.8 blocked shots per contest.
