Bruff Chooses A School

Chris Bruff, a 6'3'' 195 pound swingman/small forward from Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, Connecticut, has verbally committed to Maine.
Bruff chose the America East program over Sacred Heart, who had also offered. Bruff visited Maine officially the weekend of September 28th, and took an official trip to Sacred Heart the following weekend. He made his pledge around October 10th. Other schools who had previously expressed interest included Quinnpiac, Hartford, and Central Connecticut.

Bruff praised his trip and the coaching staff at the Orono, Maine, school.
"I liked the players and I liked the team atmosphere," said Bruff. "I really liked the coaching staff, too. They made me feel at home."
Bruff says the staff saw him as a good fit in their pressing and trapping schemes.
"I know they like to trap and press a lot," said Bruff. "Basically, they see me as another guy getting after it, and kind of a big guard."
Chris averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals at Northwest Catholic last season. This summer, he competed with Wayne Simone's Connecticut Select program, participating in The Three Stripes Tournament at Hofstra, Las Vegas Big Time Tourney, The Charlie Weber Tourney, and a session of the Eastern Invitational Camp.
Chris carries around a 2.5 GPA and has scored 900 on the SAT. He's taking the test again this Saturday.
