Brown Narrowing Choices Down

Gerald Brown, a slashing 6-3 shooting guard from Baltimore, Md., is expected to transfer to a prep school within the next few weeks.
Rivalshoops.com has learned that Brown will most likely be attending Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia, although he has also been contacted by Notre Dame Prep in Massachusetts and Bridgton Academy in Maine.

Something official should go down in the next few days, and Brown is looking forward to the challenge of attending prep school for a year -- wherever it may be.
"I am hoping to get stronger, work on my grades, and play on a national level instead of just staying in a city," Brown said. "Our school [Douglas] would have a pretty good team this year, but there wouldn't be any need for me to stay after the season we had last year."
"Since I have already committed [to Providence], there wouldn't really be a need for me to stay there, just to give the other kids there a chance to shine," Brown concluded.
Brown attended the adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey this past July, but he had some duties to take care of in summer school the rest of the month.
He is looking to boost both his core GPA and test score in prep school this year so that he will meet NCAA minimum eligibility requirements for college freshmen.
When the official word comes down on Brown's prep school of choice, we will let you know via an article.
