Brown Making Move

Gerald Brown, a 6-4 senior shooting guard from Baltimore's Frederick Douglass High School, is headed to Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia, according to sources close to Gerald's family.
Brown, who chose the Friars this past summer because of positive feelings for the Providence coaches, is trying to make sure he is properly prepared before he plays in the Big East.

Brown, who had a good summer in the July evaluation period, can put up big numbers in a game. He averaged 22 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks last season. Brown previously told us he was all set academically.
Syracuse, NC State, Connecticut, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Maryland, Florida State, Delaware, Kent State, Penn State, and Wake Forest were of interest also to Brown at one time during his recruiting process. However, not all of these schools offered a free ride yet.
Brown was named to the Baltimore Sun's 2002 All-Metro First Team. "I want to improve my ballhandling and helping others out on the court," Brown told us.
