Brown favors Pac-10 school

Renowned Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif., has not missed a beat since the graduation of Pepperdine starting point guard Mike Gerrity. Much of the credit for Mater Dei's 4-0 start goes to sophomore Kamyron Brown who has taken over the point guard position. Brown, 6-foot-2, 170-pounds, is presently working with a school list of five and a favorite in the Pac-10.
"My top five are Washington, Michigan, Kansas, California and Kentucky," said Brown. "Right now my leader is Washington. The thing I like best about them is their up and down style of play. I also like how they sub fast and get you right back into the game. I think playing in a fast, up tempo system suits my game well."

Already with an offer from Michigan, Brown has exceptional skills with the ball and thrives on using them to get his teammates shots.
"My greatest strengths are ball handling and passing," he said. "I really enjoy getting my teammates involved.
"As far as improving, I'm working on my perimeter shooting and want to continue getting stronger for the next level."
Brown, who has a 3.1 GPA, is averaging 10 points and 8 assists per game this season.
This summer he plans to run with the SoCal Razorbacks AAU club.
