Four-star prospect Rion Brown slowly gathered national attention over the summer, and on Monday he became one ACC team's first commitment in the 2010 class.
After whittling down a lengthy school list of offers to Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Virginia, Brown decided on the University of Miami.
"I'm looking forward to playing in the ACC," said Brown, a 6-foot-5, 187-pound shooting guard from Hinesville (Ga.) Liberty County High School. "Miami is a good fit because James Dews is graduating, and I'm the only shooting guard coming in. The coaches are telling me that I'll start or at least play a lot."
Brown, who is an outstanding shooter coming off the screens, also has taken not of the success of shooting guards such as Jake McClinton.
"They have produces some really good guards lately," said Brown.
Besides being a sharp shooter off the catch, Brown is also an outstanding athlete with impressive upside.
He is the No. 44 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
