Brower Will Figure Things Out Soon

While his team bowed out in the quarterfinals of the New York State Class "B" playoffs, Etienne Brower, the 6'7'' 195 pound combo forward from West Hempstead High School in West Hempstead, New York, turned in a gutsy effort in his final prep game.
West Hempstead fell to A.J. Price and Amityville, 48-34, but not before the Rams and Brower gave them all they handle, as West Hempstead led at the half and through three quarters before Amityville edged them out. A three-pointer by Brower drew West Hempstead to within one with less than a minute to play before Amityville used a succession of free throws to pull away.

Brower was very active on both ends of the floor, chipping in with 19 points, hitting the glass hard, and getting his hands on a lot of balls defensively. Brower possesses good athleticism and is a skilled post player who can take other bigs off the dribble if they push up on him. His ability to put it on the floor seems to have improved. Etienne needs to shoot the ball more consistently.
Brower is considering Boston University, Binghamton, Manhattan, and Davidson, among others, at this point. Davidson had previously offered. Etienne is considering visiting Davidson this spring, as well as Boston U. and Binghamton.
Brower is a solid student with a "B" average. He has scored 1140 on the SAT.
