Brower Has Offer

Etienne Brower, a 6'7'', 195 pound small forward from West Hempstead High School in West Hempstead, New York, on Long Island, is a player who went from a virtual unknown in the spring to a more recognizable commodity with his summer play.
Brower, a small forward with face-up skills who can knock down the three, plays in a relative obscurity in his high school league on Long Island. This summer, competing with The Long Island Lightning and coach Bobby Paul, Brower attended The Charlie Weber Tournament in West Virginia, The 17 and under Nationals in Orlando, and The Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas.

Brower has heard from Tulane, Lafayette, Monmouth, Siena, Lehigh, Rider, Wagner, Colgate, and Davidson. Davidson has offered.
Etienne told us that "many" of the schools listed are going to see him workout this fall, but that he has not set up any in-home or campus visits.
Brower's father, Quinis Brower, played collegiately at Hofstra before a professional career in France, playing with the club team Limoges.
Brower averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists last season at West Hempstead.
"He's definitely going to grow," said Paul, who is also an assistant coach at Chaminade High School in Mineola. "And he'll probably add about 25 pounds to his frame. Every coach I talk to says he's really going to be something in two years."
Brower's game has drawn comparisons to another Long Islander who emerged out of obscurity to have a fine college and professional career: Wally Szczerbiak. While that might be a little bit of a reach at this point, with Brower still needing to hone his skills and be more consistent, his face-up skills make him an intruiging prospect.
Etiene carries an 85 average in the classroom. He has scored 1130 on the SAT.
