Brooks set to visit Akron again

It appears that Rydell Brooks is just about ready to make a decision about his future. The 6-foot-1, 160-pound combo guard from Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio, recently took an official visit to Niagara and, as it stands right now, is set to make a return trip to Akron on Friday. There is a chance that Brooks might take two more visits, but a decision about those visits has not been made.
"Rydell recently took an official visit to Niagara," said Buchtel head coach Steve White. "He has decided to take another visit to Akron on Friday in order to sort some things out. Niagara and Akron are the teams to beat right now. There is a chance that Rydell might commit to Akron during or after his visit.

"He just wants to take another visit to Akron so he can speak to the staff and talk with them a little more," he added. "If Rydell does commit to Akron, he will sign with them next week."
Should Brooks ultimately decide that he is not ready to give the nod to Akron; two more official visits will likely take place. No additional visits have been planned yet, but Brooks could schedule those two visits next week.
"Rydell has talked about taking visits to Marist and Robert Morris," said White. "Akron and Niagara are definitely the teams to beat right now, but he wants to make sure that he is making the best decision. If he doesn't commit to Akron during his visit, I would image that he will visit those two schools.
"I should know more about Rydell and his decision early next week," he added. "If he does take two more visits, I look for him to sign a Letter-of-Intent before the end of the month."
