Brooks gaining offers

In the fall Lithonia (Ga.) Miller Grove forward Henry Brooks didn't have any high major options. Now he has a couple high major offers, and others are calling.
In the past few weeks, Brooks, who is averaging 13 points and eight rebounds per game for a Miller Grove team with only one loss, has picked up offers from Minnesota and Tennessee.

"I just came back from a visit to Minnesota," said Brooks. "It was pretty nice. I like the facilities, the program and the coaches.
"I'm setting up a visit to Tennessee also. I definitely want to visit them."
Mississippi State, Missouri and Connecticut are also showing varying degrees of interest.
"Mississippi State just got involved, and I think they are about to offer," he said. "UConn wants me to visit, and I've been talking with Missouri."
Prior to his focusing on these five schools, Brooks was eying Penn. After these recent developments, however, Brooks' desire is to play at the high major level.
In the midst of his team's playoff run, Brooks is in no hurry to make a decision. When Brooks is ready to decide, he knows what he will be looking for.
"The style of play and opportunity to play is important," he said. "I want to play in a fast system. I like to play intense defense and want to be able to create mismatches with my ability to play inside and outside."
