Brooks Chooses Oregon

It was just 48 hours ago that RivalsHoops.com published a story stating that Aaron Brooks, a jet quick 5-11, 160 pound point guard from Franklin H.S. in Seattle, Wash., could make a decision within the next week or so. Well, he has. The coaching staff at Franklin High School told us today that Brooks gave a commitment to Oregon last night.
Brooks also had serious interest in UCLA and Washington. Brooks had a chance to unofficially visit Eugene on August 31 for the Ducks' home football opener against Mississippi State.
Brooks hosted Oregon's staff in his home on Friday the 13th, Washington on the 15th, UCLA on the 16th, and Minnesota on the 11th. However, Brooks said that the Golden Gophers were not a serious consideration in his final decision.
