Bright young star in Canada

Grassroots Canada has a special 2010 prospect in Tristan Thompson of D'youville High School in Branston, Ontario. In fact Coach Ro Russell thinks Thompson, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward will be the best player he has coached.
"He is in the mold of Chris Bosh," said Coach Russell. "He's a lefty who can get to the basket and has touch. He's a big time athlete and competes at the highest level. He also has the intangibles and character traits to be a great one."

After playing extremely well in the 15-under division of the King James Classic in April, a host of schools have begun recruiting Thompson. North Carolina, Florida, UConn, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Washington, Georgia Tech, Georgetown and Minnesota are all showing interest.
In June Thompson will participate in the Reebok Underclassmen Camp in hopes of being invited to the upperclassmen camp in July. He will also play in Las Vegas at the end of July.
