Bridgton Academy News

Bridgton Academy in Maine has a number of good prospects expected to enroll at the school this fall, and the Insiders Report has some early information on some of the players who'll likely suit up for the Wolverines this winter.
As we reported recently from the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas, 5-8 spark-plug Jonathan Bluitt of Bishop McGuinness H.S. in Oklahoma City will attend Bridgton this fall.

Bluitt, a slick and quick playmaking point guard, had signed with Oral Roberts last fall. He initially was thought to be headed off to Kilgore J.C. in Texas, but changed his mind at the last minute and opted to attend prep school.
Bluitt (pictured right) first made a name for himself on the 2000 summer basketball circuit, where he helped to lead a talented group of underclassmen from Oklahoma known as Athletes First to a pair of high finishes at the adidas Big Time Tournament and the AAU Super Showcase.
Others expected to attend Bridgton include:
*David Teague, an offensive minded 6-5 small forward from Pike H.S. in Indianapolis, Ind., who has already committed to Purdue. Teague played this past summer with the Indy Metros Blue squad at the adidas Big Time Tournament.
*Chris White, a burly 6-6, 240+ pound power forward from Grissom H.S. in Huntsville, Ala. White played with the Southeast Raptors this summer at the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas.
*Danny Boyle, a 6-1 point/combo guard from Middleton H.S. in Middleton, Wis., has also committed to play at Bridgton this season. Boyle had been pursued by a number of Division I schools last year, including home state Wisconsin-Green Bay, before opting to go the prep school route.
According to Dennis Semrau of the Capital-Times in Madison, Wis., Boyle averaged 19.1 points, 7.5 assists and 1.6 steals per game en route to being named the Big Eight Conference Player of the Year as a senior. In recognition of his fine senior season, Boyle was selected to the play in Wisconsin Basketball Coaches All-Star game this past June.
