Brian Hutt Attracting Major Interest
Brian Hutt, an imposing 6-9, 230 pound power forward/center from Wheat Ridge H.S. in Wheat Ridge, Colo., has attracted a wide degree of interest from Division I programs this summer.
Although he was not a primary option offensively for the Colorado Select Blue 17s squad, Hutt played well within a structured setting and did many of the little things, like screen and set picks and pass the ball efficiently.

Hutt said he had been offered scholarships thus far by Loyola Marymount and Utah State. In fact, at the Best of the Summer, Hutt told us he was going to unofficially visit Loyola Marymount, which is where the tournament was held.
In addition to the two offers, Hutt said he has been contacted by San Diego, Colorado, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Colorado State, Wyoming and Texas El Paso.
As a junior at Wheat Ridge, Hutt averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three blocks per game.
Hutt said he has a 3.5 GPA and scored a 23 on the ACT.
Hutt kicked off the summer at the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis, then attended the Great American Shootout in Denton, Tex. After a 10 day layoff, he traveled with Colorado Select Blue to the adidas Big Time Tournament and the Best of the Summer.
