Brewington Will Return in January

Worcester Academy is a very good team, with or without 6-4 shooting/combo guard Dwight Brewington of Lynn, Mass.
But the Hilltoppers probably could have used Brewington last Saturday in a 64-53 loss to Blair Academy in the championship game of the Boys Club Holiday Classic.

However, the Providence bound Brewington wasn't available for the Hilltoppers.
He was in the midst of serving a suspension meted out by Worcester Head Coach Mo Cassara earlier this month.
"He will be back with the team in January," Cassara said. "It was a team suspension due to a violation of team rules."
Brewington's suspension began back on Dec. 10 for the Hilltoppers' game against Holy Cross J.V., and concluded with the Boys Club Holiday Classic.
In fact, Brewington did not make the trip with Worcester to New York City last weekend.
He might have come in handy last Saturday against Blair, a game in which the Hilltoppers just struggled to score and get their offensive attack into high gear.
"The one thing about Dwight is that he is the kind of player who can score 30 points in a short game, and can get 20 points about as quick as anyone I've ever seen," Cassara admitted. "Today we struggled to score a little bit, so we missed him, as well as his defensive pressure and intensity."
"That forced us to go a little deeper into our bench than we usually do," Cassara continued. "I commend our kids for coming back, but Blair was up for the game and they wanted to get us after we beat them twice last year within a week."
Brewington should be back for Worcester's next game on Jan. 8 against the Harvard J.V.
