Brewington Talks About Providence

Dwight Brewington, the 6'4'' 185 pound combo guard from Worcester Academy who recently committed to Providence, gave Rivalshoops.com some insight into his recruitment and decision at the recent Connecticut Select Tournament.
Brewington cited the fluid and selfless play of his future teammate's as one of the deciding factors in his decision.

"They play as a team," Brewington said. "And I trust the coaching staff."
Proximity to home also played into the decision.
"Providence is close to home," said Brewington. "I wanted to be close to my family. It's hard enough being away at Worcester. I expect my mother and father to be at most of my games."
Brewington chose Providence over offers from South Carolina, Arizona, Marquette, Temple, Iowa State, and Rhode Island.
Tim Welsh's program gets an unselfish big guard who can man either backcourt slot. Brewington possesses excellent vision and court awareness. He is an explosive leaper who is a surprisingly good shot blocker at 6'4''. Dwight has a terrific feel for the game.
But perhaps most valuable will be Brewington's charisma and his locker room presence. Dwight, who only has partial hearing, is truly one of the special people this reporter has come into contact with on the recruiting trail.
