Brewer Cuts List Down

One of the top scorers in the Southeast, Ronnie Brewer from Fayetteville (AR) High School has seen some changes to his list of favorites. While one his favorites is no longer a possibility Brewer still has a list of his top five schools.
"Kansas is out. I talked to Coach (Roy) Williams and they signed someone else. Originally I was schedule to visit there this coming weekend but not I'm going to Arkansas," he said. "I was a little bit disappointed but it's I'm still in good shape because I have some really good options left."

During the summer Brewer, who is rated 4-stars and the 11th best shooting guard in the nation by RivalsHoops.com, took unofficial visits to Arkansas (3 times), Oklahoma, Oklahoma State (3 times), Ole Miss and Kansas.
"Right now my top five is Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, UCONN, and Ole Miss. I will officially visit all of those schools except Ole Miss," Brewer said. "I've been to each school except Connecticut but the unofficial visits were really just for fun. Now I need when I go down I really need to check into the academics, dorms and campus life."
Brewer, 6-foot-6, 190-pounds, indicated that at this point in the recruiting process that he was wide open and it could be a while before he makes his decision.
"I've still got a lot to learn about each school and I'm going to be fair and go into this with an open mind. Every schools equal," he said. "Right now all five are my favorite team because I've had to eliminate a lot of really good schools to get down to the final five and to me they are the best of the best and I won't commit until I feel comfortable and learn everything I can about each school."
After his visit to Arkansas on October 11th Brewer will visit Oklahoma the next weekend (October 18th). He plans to visit Oklahoma State and Connecticut the following two weekends but at this point he is unsure of in what order the visits will take place.
Last season Brewer averaged 26 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks per game.
