Brewer Attracting Major Interest
DENTON, Tex. -- Ronnie Brewer didn't need the adidas ABCD or Nike All-American Camps to cement his reputation as a high major basketball prospect.
Brewer, a versatile and athletic 6-5, 190 pound shooting guard from Fayetteville H.S. in Fayetteville, Ark., pumped in close to 30 points on Friday night in the Arkansas Wings' opening round victory over the Ft. Worth MLK Mash squad.

Despite being invited to both Nike and adidas (he was on the Nike Camp roster), Brewer didn't play at either camp. But he showed no signs of rust here at the Great American Shootout.
Brewer said he has been offered scholarships by three schools thus far -- Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss. Even though his dad was a former standout at Arkansas, Brewer said he is open and has fielded calls from a veritable who's who in college basketball circles.
In addition to the aforementioned three programs, Brewer has also seen interest from Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, UConn, Louisville, Memphis, Florida and Kentucky.
Despite not hitting a single three pointer last night, Brewer still hit for close to 30 points as the Hawks won a run and gun style shootout against MLK Mash. He's very fast and a bouncy athlete, so the fast paced transition game suited him just fine in the Hawks' opener.
After the Great American Shootout, Brewer will travel with the Jackson Panthers to the adidas Big Time Tournament, then wrap up the summer at the AAU Nationals with the Hawks.
