Brennan-McBride lands at dream school

Devin Brennan-McBride is headed to his dream school. The 6-foot-9, 240-pound power forward from St. Thomas Aguinas Catholic School in London, Ontario verbally committed to a Big East school this week.
After taking four official visits and contemplating the best situation at each program, Brennan-McBride announced he'll be playing at Syracuse next season.

"Syracuse became my dream school, where I wanted to get my education and play college basketball and now one and half years later, my dream has come true," Brennan-McBride said in a press release. "We all have dreams but not very often are those dreams realized and I am absolutely thrilled to be going to Syracuse."
Brennan-McBride took official visits to Michigan, Tulsa, Xavier and Syracuse and saw his recruitment take on all comers after a successful showing at the Nike All-American camp. Syracuse was one of the first high-major schools to recruit him, he said. Brennan-McBride took a visit to Syracuse when the Orange hosted, and defeated, UConn last spring.
"I am exited about playing for Coach (Jim) Boeheim and his staff and making a contribution to the team," Brennan-McBride said. "Syracuse has a history of great academics, a successful basketball program, a beautiful campus and playing in the Carrier Dome with great teammates, what else could I ask for"
Brennan-McBride joins Paul Harris and Mike Jones in Syracuse's 2006 recruiting class.
