Brazilian Gets Qualifying Score

Diego Aguiar, a 6'6'', 210 pound wing forward from Bryant High School in Queens, New York, recently got some great news on the SAT front.
Aguiar, a native of Sao Paolo, Brazil, scored 1100 on the SAT that he had taken in June. Unfortunately, Aguiar has not fulfilled his core requirements yet, and while his English has improved considerably, it still needs work.

"We're looking at prep schools for him," said Aguiar's AAU coach Doc Nicelli of the Madison Broncos.
Aguiar, who had previously received feelers from Rider and some other similar caliber programs, is a 6'6'' perimeter player who can stroke the three. He has a fairly quick release, and proved himself a viable long-range threat at the IS8 league in Queens this summer. Aguiar is fairly adept at putting the ball on the floor and taking it to the hole.
Perhaps the biggest question with Aguiar are his defensive capabilities. While blessed with a decent frame, he needs to get after it more defensively.
Aguiar is a bit of a sleeper coming out of New York City. His size and offensive repertoire make him a commodity that some low to mid-major programs should check out.
