Brannon Hayes May Red-Shirt
Brannon Hayes, a 6-9, 205 pound forward who transferred into Lee J.C. in Baytown, Tex., this fall, may red-shirt the 2001-2002 season.
Hayes came to Lee after spending his freshman year at Texas Tech. The combination of a coaching change in Lubbock and poor academic standing at Tech led to his departure from the Big 12 school.

Lee Asst. Coach Jim Wilson said that Hayes might be red-shirted this year in order to give him a solid academic base and a chance to graduate from junior college and move on to a four-year school.
As a result, Hayes did not suit up at this past weekend's Panhandle Classic in Marianna, Fla. He has not suited up for any of the Running Rebels' games this season.
A concrete decision on Hayes' future at Lee will be determined in the near future, and JUCO Junction will keep you posted on that in the coming weeks.
