Sean Miller and the Arizona Wildcats are already back at it in the class of 2018. The owners of 2017's No. 3 ranked recruiting class, Miller and the Wildcats added their second potentially elite piece from the class of 2018 on Monday when four-star point guard Brandon Williams made the call.

A quick and shifty point guard with length, Williams had been looking to push for five-star status before missing his junior season due to a knee injury. While the injury has kept him off the floor, it didn't slow down Arizona's recruitment or prevent him from making the call.

"First and foremost, ever since he was a kid Arizona has been his dream school," Williams father Chris Wright told Rivals.com. "Second of all it's Sean Miller. It's his presence, it's his fire and it's his intensity. He's going to ride you to be better and that's what Brandon loves about him."

Prior to the knee injury that cost him his junior season -- and likely all of this summer -- Williams was tracking as one of the top point guards in a class where there is minimal separation between the best floor generals. He is creative off the dribble, he can score when called upon to do so and he has all the tools to be an elite defender.

The chance to be the first elite, scoring point guard Miller has recruited to Tucson was huge.

"Coach Miller has said over and over that he has been trying to get an elite scoring point guard," said Wright. "Brandon is trying to blaze his own path so he would be the first one to do that for Miller and would pave the way for other guys like him to follow."

At the end of the day it was Arizona's staff commitment to him, despite injury, that allowed Williams to make the call.

"Most of the schools were with him from day one," said Wright. "But Arizona, they did a fabulous job of recruiting Brandon as a staff. He really felt that Sean Miller wanted him. They were there from day one and they never wavered, even during March Madness. There was never a down time at all."

Williams joins five-star power forward Shareef O'Neal as an early commitment to the Wildcats for 2018. The duo forms a very strong start to Arizona's efforts with the rising senior class.
