Branch on the move

Kevin Branch, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound shooting guard is on the move. After beginning his career at Reserve Christian in LaPlace, La., Branch, a three-star prospect, has decided to transfer to Washington Marion in Lake Charles, La. It's a decision that Branch couldn't be more excited about.
"We are doing great right now," said Kevin Branch, Sr. "Kevin has transferred to Washington Marion and is playing with big Leonard Washington. We decided to make this move back in September, and my son is still in the class of 2007.

"We are just waiting for Kevin to be cleared to play," he added. "He is fine academically, but since he transferred from another school, we are waiting for him to be cleared. Kevin has been practicing with the team and will be ready to go when the season starts."
Before Branch decided to make the move to Washington Marion, Baylor, Florida State, Illinois, Kentucky, Miami-FL, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Southern California, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Tulane, Virginia, Wake Forest, New Orleans and Wichita State were just some of the schools involved in his recruitment.
However, four schools in particular are showing a great deal of interest in the talented shooting guard. Because he decided to transfer so late, don't look for Branch to sign a Letter-of-Intent during the early signing period.
"Kevin is going to sign late because of the move," he said. "It was a good move for my son and he is very happy with his decision. In terms of his recruitment, Wichita State, Tennessee, Tulane, Southern California and Oklahoma are showing the most interest.
"We are being picked to win the State Championship this year, so that's Kevin's main focus right now," he added. "He and big Leonard Washington are real excited about the upcoming season."
