Bradley Finishes Summer In Style

July had been a very good month for point guard Ramel Bradley, who racked up some great games while playing for the Juice at a few AAU tournaments. Bradley showed he can match up with the best lead guards in the country.
Last night Bradley concluded his summer play by scoring 41 points against the New York Gauchos in a tournament title game held at CCNY in New York City. "It was a great game," Bradley said. "We had a chance to win it but we fouled a Gaucho (Ronald Ramon) with seven seconds left. We were leading by one point but the Gaucho guard hit both shots."

The Gauchos were perhaps the best AAU team this summer (as far as winning tournaments). The Celtics certainly had the most talent but the Gauchos registered several big tournament victories. "They have a very good team but we held Russell Robinson to eight points and Sundiata Gaines to 13 points. I thought we did a good job. I really wanted to win that game last night."
But Bradley will have to settle for a great individual effort. Because of his great summer, several schools have made offers. "I first have to take the SAT in October," Bradley said. "Then I can take visits."
Bradley, a 6-foot-2, 165-pounder who will play at the Pendleton School in Florida this upcoming season, will probably take visits to Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, Clemson, Boston College, and Virginia Tech. If he were to take these visits, one of the trips would have to be an unofficial visit. "I don't have a leader," Bradley said. "Right now I don't have any unofficial visits."
School will start soon for Bradley. "I leave home right after Labor Day to go down there," he said. "I am looking forward to getting back to school and taking care of the school work.
"So I don't have much time to take any unofficial visits. Hopefully once I take my visits I can set up some visits. Kentucky wanted me to come in for Midnight Madness. I am not sure right now if I can make it then. I have to see how school goes first."
