Bouldin Looking To Take Late Night Visit

After a successful sophomore campaign at Thunder Ridge High School in Denver, Colo., Matt Bouldin has attracted the attention of several elite college basketball institutions. The 6-foot-5, 195-pound point guard indicated that he will likely be in Lawrence for an unofficial visit in October.
“Kansas, Oregon, Stanford, Colorado, Colorado State, Notre Dame, Texas, Florida State, North Carolina and Washington State, California, Gonzaga, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Connecticut are some of the schools that I am interested in,” Bouldin said. “I have already talked to coaches’ from some of those schools, so I would say that my recruitment is going pretty good right now.”

Like most of the players in his class, Bouldin is in the beginning stages of his recruitment. The No. 53 ranked player in the class of 2006 stated that he definitely plans to take his time with this process, but several schools have made an early impression on the Colorado floor general.
“Kansas, Stanford and Oregon are three schools that I really like,” Bouldin said. “I am starting to receive mail from other schools, but Kansas, Oregon and Stanford are some of the schools that I really like.”
After a strong showing this summer playing for the Colorado Select AAU organization, Bouldin is looking to have a memorable junior season. After averaging 9.0 points and 6.0 assists per game for Thunder Ridge as a sophomore, Bouldin is hoping to take his game to the next level.
Bouldin was quick to admit that he grew up a big fan of one school in particular. As it stands right now, Bouldin will unofficially visit that school for Late Night in October.
“Kansas is a school that I grew up watching. They are very high on my list right now, and I don’t think that will change,” Bouldin said. “I have already talked to Coach (Joe) Dooley several times and he is a great coach. He and I have had some good conversations.
“Kansas has talked about me coming out for an unofficial visit,” he added. “Nothing has been officially planned yet, but there is a chance that I will be in Lawrence for Late Night. The staff asked if I could come at that time, so there is a chance that will happen. My family and I have already talked about making the drive to Lawrence. I should know for sure about the visit within the next week or so.”
