Josh Boone, a lanky 6-9, 205 pound power forward from South Carroll H.S. in Sikesville, Md., played this week at the National AAU tournament for Cecil-Kirk of Baltimore, Maryland. Boone was impressive to many coaches evaluating his game. He is also an outstanding student. He has a 3.5 GPA and a 1200 on his SAT.
He was an active presence on the glass and has improved his defensive intensity over the past year.
Boone will play this season at West Nottingham Academy in Maryland. Boone told us earlier this summer that he was fielding weekly phone calls from a number of Division I schools, including Dayton, St. Joseph's, Rutgers, James Madison, Virginia Commonwealth, Boston University and American University.
But this list is likely to change. Connecticut was one of the more recent schools to evaluate Boone.
The Insiders Report will keep in touch with Boone over the coming months and keep you abreast on any changes in his recruitment.
