Boone Collects 31 In Win

MERCERSBURG, Penn. -- West Nottingham Academy put the defensive clamps on the Hill School, limiting the Rams' to six second half points in a 62-41 victory on Saturday afternoon at the 10th Annual Mercersburg Invitational Basketball Tournament.
Trailing 35-31 at the half, West Nottingham outscored Hill 17-3 in the third quarter to take a commanding 48-38 lead heading into the final period.

UConn bound Josh Boone was terrific for WNA, collecting 31 points, 17 rebounds and 12 blocks. He was the primary reason that Hill couldn't get any good looks in the second half.
Boone carried the Rams in the first half, scoring 18 of his squad's 31 points. In the second half, WNA picked up its defensive intensity and Boone got some help in the form of offensive contributions by 6-5 forward Keri Gonsalves and 6-3 swingman Jelani Jackson. Jackson finished with eight points, Cheyenne Moore seven and Gonsalves five.
Point guard David Knowles directed the Hill attack and finished with 10 points. He was blanketed quite well in the second half by Moore, who decommitted to Georgetown earlier this winter. Forward Randall Hanke, a 6-8 New York City native, actually led Hill with 12 points in defeat.
