Boise lands potential future backcourt

Leon Rice and his staff at Boise State hosted a quintet of official visitors over the weekend. By Tuesday evening, the Broncos had landed two of those five as Michael Thompson and Derrick Marks made their college choices.
A flashy, quick and athletic combo guard from Las Vegas (Nev.) Canyon Springs, Thompson is a guy who can really score in bunches. A three-star prospect, he starred for Anthony Brown's Las Vegas Prospects for the past couple summers.

"Michael Thompson chose Boise State for two reasons," Brown told Rivals.com. "They are to stay close to a wonderful family and also help Boise State become a championship program."
Shortly after Thompson had given the Broncos the nod, Marks made the same decision, according to sources close to the situation. A product of Plainfield (Ill.) Central, Marks is a 6-foot-2 shooting guard. Marks, who played with Old Gold for the summer, averaged 17.6 points per game as a junior, earning the nickname (self-given on facebook) of "The Marksmen."
Boise also received another commitment recently. Joey Nebeker, a 6-foot-8 junior power forward from Melba (Idaho) High, committed, per the IdahoStatesman.com.
