Boilermakers finish off 07 class

The Purdue Boilermakers have gone four for four with today's commitment of Scott Martin. Four, four-star recruits round out what should easily end up being a top ten recruiting class in the country.
A 6-foot-8, 200-pound combo forward from Valparaiso (Ind.) High School, Martin is the third Purdue commitment from the SYF Players travel team. And with a head of steam the Boliermakers secured the commitments of Martin, Robbie Hummel and E'twaun Moore within a weeks time. Martin is also high school teammates with Hummel.

"I've been leaning this way for quite a while," GoldandBlack.com reported Martin as saying. "It's the right choice for me and where I want to be for the next four years."
Martin, who is poised to move up the rankings from his No. 91 spot, will also be a future teammate of JaJuan Johnson of Franklin Central in Indianapolis. Johnson is the the least polished of the three other Purdue recruits, but he has as much upside as any of them with his length and mobility.
Martin, who is a strong scorer and rebounder, has true inside/outside capabilities on both sides of the ball.
Hummel, the No. 72 prospect in the Rivals150, is also a versatile defensive player, whose offensive strengths lie in his ball handling and passing as a point forward type player.
Moore, the highest ranked prospect of the four recruits, is a true combo guard with a solid all around game.
Johnson needs some time to build strength and offensive confidence, but all three of these SYF Players teammates are ready to contribute immediately in the Big Ten.
And not only are they ready to contribute, but they also know how to win. The SYF Players won the NIKE Memorial Day Classic in Nashville, Tenn., and also finished runner-up in the recent NIKE Peach Jam in Augusta, Ga.
