Boggan Finished At Oak Hill Academy

Mario Boggan, a 6-6 inside forward from Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, will not be able to return to Oak Hill Academy next season.
"Mario was at Mount Zion for two years when we thought he was there for one," Oak Hill head coach Steve Smith said. "Mario would love to stay with us and we would love to have him but Oak Hill is a four year school."

So Boggan, who has yet to make a decision on a school (see other story), is likely to end up at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia. Boggan grew up in Durham, North Carolina.
"Mario is finishing up here and should be set for next year," Smith said. "He really has improved a lot as a player."
Expect Boggan's stock to rise if he has a good spring and summer. People question his size but no one questions his heart. "He is a tough player inside," Smith said. "How many players shoot 81 percent from the floor?"
Not many. Boggan just had a tremendous season. Though Boggan was not usually the first option offensively this season with such great guards as Justin Gray, Billy Edelin, and Rashaad Carruth on the roster, he made the most of his shots.
Boggan is a nifty baseline player who is deceptively agile for his wide frame. "He knows how to hit a reverse layup and use the basket to his advantage," Smith said. "He is a very smart offensive player."
And Kevin Keatts is one lucky coach to have him.
