SUWANEE, Ga. -- Many of the Southeast's top grassroots teams were in attendance at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions but nobody looked better than class of 2019 five-star Christian Brown of Game Elite 2019. More on Brown and other standouts.

Recruitment: Auburn, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kansas, NC State, Tennessee, UConn, Wake Forest.

His weekend: Brown is known for his athleticism and the intensity he attacks the rim with, but on Saturday morning, he had the jumper going too. If that becomes a more regular thing, watch out. He suffered an injury during the weekend, but should be back to 100% within a few weeks.

Prediction: Don’t sleep on Auburn in Brown’s recruitment. Bruce Pearl and his staff have out-worked everybody so far with him.

Recruitment: Georgia, Iowa, LSU and Oklahoma State offers.

His weekend: Watson had a terrific weekend for the Georgia Stars 16U team. The bouncy 6-foot-6 wing has a picture perfect stroke three-point range and used it to carry his team to a championship.

Prediction: It’s already starting to happen, but expect him to be one of the more highly recruited wings in the southeast in the 2019 class.

Recruitment: Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Tennessee, Virginia Tech offers.

His weekend: For a high school kid with his size, Burns is really advanced with his post-up game. He has great hands and soft touch around the rim. The Kennedy Meeks comparison makes a lot of sense.

Prediction: Burns will have plenty of options throughout the southeast by the time he’s ready to make a commitment. Georgia and Tennessee have positioned themselves nicely early on.

Recruitment: Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Florida and Wake Forest.

His weekend: Drinnon switched over to play with the Southern Stampede last week and the move has paid off for him. He’s done a great job running the point with his new squad and they have won more than his previous stop.

Prediction: Drinnon says he’s likely to be committed by the end of the summer. Georgia and Wake Forest should like where they stand with him at this time.

Recruitment: Heavy interest from Cincinnati, Clemson, Georgia and Xavier with offers from Florida Gulf Coast, Furman, Middle Tennessee, UAB and UNC-Greensboro.

His weekend: Ezikpe started the weekend off with a 28-point showing on Friday night and followed it up with a 29-point game on Saturday night. Slightly undersized at 6-foot-7, he’s a very skilled power forward who has great touch around the rim.

Prediction: He doesn’t yet hold a high-major offer, but expect that to change before all is said and done.
