Bluitt Playing in Vegas; Prep School in his Future

LAS VEGAS -- A year ago, 5-8 point guard Jonathan Bluitt was part of the Athletes First squad that made it all the way to the semifinals of the adidas Big Time Tournament.
As the lone senior on a squad chocked with high major underclassman talent a year ago, Bluitt wound up signing with Oral Roberts University.

But the product of Bishop McGuinness H.S. in Oklahoma City failed to qualify academically, and had signed with Scott Schumacher's
So when we spotted Bluitt playing for Branch West Basketball Academy's Orange squad at the Big Time Tournament this week, we had to ask: What gives?
Bluitt explained that he now plans on heading off to Bridgton Academy in N. Bridgton, Me., this fall. And while we have not at this point been able to confirm that with the Bridgton staff, it would give Bluitt a good reason to be in Vegas this week instead of Tulsa, Okla., for a big junior college showcase.
