Blue Demons nab Walker

After having a fabulous summer, Bolingbrook (Ill.) High School combo guard Will Walker is set to announce his commitment to DePaul after his official visit to the school this weekend. Michigan was the only other school Walker, 6-foot, 165-pounds, was considering, but the Wolverines will not even get a visit.
"No, I won't be taking any other visits," said Walker, the No. 65 ranked player in the Rivals150. "DePaul is the place for me. I'm going to make an announcement tonight at a press conference on television.

"Michigan was the only other school I was looking at. I was supposed to visit there next weekend, but that is not going to happen."
For Walker the combination of staying close to home and playing in the Big East was too good to turn down.
"They main thing is that they moved from Conference USA to the Big East," he said. "I have a chance now to stay close to home and play in a great conference. Plus, I have a chance to play a lot when I get there."
Walker was recruited to primarily play the point guard position for DePaul, but his shooting ability will also be utilized by playing off the ball.
Will Walker scouting report:
A scoring point guard, Walker can shoot it off the pass or the dribble. Very adept at creating space and controlling his body when scoring off the dribble. Not a great penetrator or defender, but a solid guard who can score points.
