Bloom waiting till spring

He is the sharp shooter for defending state champion Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, La., but Corey Bloom, a 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard, is planning to wait until after the early signing period to make a decision. Bloom did name six schools that are recruiting him.
“Air Force is waiting on my SAT score,” said Bloom. “Texas Southern, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Texas A&M and Tulane are all still showing interest even though I am planning to wait until the spring to sign.”

Bloom, who averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds per game last season, is a very good shooter with nice length at the shooting guard position. More than anything, he needs to get stronger for the next level.
“We have the same team from our state championship team last year, and we are playing good,” he said. “I am just getting physically ready for the season. I’m getting stronger and working on my game.”
Bloom did not take his recently scheduled visit to Texas Southern for undisclosed reasons.
