Blalock Makes Decision

One of the better guards in the 2003 class, Will Blalock, an energetic 5-11, 165 pound backcourt player from Roxbury, Massachusetts, committed to Iowa State. Blalock had a great visit to Iowa State this past weekend and made his commitment before he left the campus.
Pittsburgh, DePaul, and George Washington were serious contenders at one time during the recruiting process. Alabama and Ohio State might have recruited Blalock if he was available in the Spring.
Blalock, now at Notre Dame Prep for the 2002-2003 school year, put up big numbers last winter at East Boston H.S. Will averaged 20 points, seven assists and three steals per contest. Blalock is a very aggressive player who loves to dart into the lane and force chaos for the defense. He is a great athlete too and seems to always finish his drives to the basket.
