Blalock Has Highs Loving His Skills

Will Blalock, an energetic 5-11, 165 pound scoring point guard from Roxbury, Mass., was very impressive the first day of the Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida. Blalock, who will be transferring to Notre Dame Prep for the 2002-2003 school year, put up some nice numbers on the high school level. He consistently scored yesterday for the BABC AAU program.
Blalock put up big numbers last winter at East Boston H.S., averaging 20 points, seven assists and three steals per contest. Blalock is a very aggressive player who loves to dart into the lane and force chaos for the defense. He is a great athlete too and seems to always finish his drives to the basket.

Blalock told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that UConn, Memphis and Iona have offered him scholarships. He is also considering Florida State, Arizona, UCLA, Cincinnati and DePaul. It's likely after this tournament is over he will have more schools involved or trying to get involved.
Blalock has only had a chance to unofficially visit UConn and Iona. The primary reason for Blalock's transfer to Notre Dame will be to bolster his academic ledger. He told Rivalshoops that he carries a 2.4 GPA and will take the SAT in the fall for the first time.
