Binghamton Picks Up Two More Recruits

Binghamton has gotten a commitment from Keston Roberts, a 6' 3'' 185 pound shooting guard from Mount Zion Christian Academy, as well as a pledge from 6' 9'', 260 pound post player Jason Kearns from Miles City Community
College in Miles City, Montana.

Roberts is a native of Brooklyn who played for Erasmus Hall High School last year, averaging 18 points and 6 rebounds as a post player. At Mount Zion the explosive Roberts was moved to the wing to utilize his athleticism. Roberts is extremely athletic, with a 38-inch vertical leap.
Roberts chose the Bearcat program over Oral
Roberts, who had also extended a scholarship offer.
Kearns played at Corvallis (MT) High School where he was named First team All-State, and Academic All-State as a senior. Last season, Kearns averaged 10.1 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game and shot 53 percent from the field for Miles City. Eight games into the this season, he is averaging 16 ppg and 7.1 rpg.
Roberts and Kearns join a recruiting class that already includes 6'8'' New Mexico big forward Giovanni Olomo, whom the America East program snatched up, beating out a number of West Coast Conference schools in the process. The class is shaping up to be one of the better collections of talent in the America East Conference.
Second year head coach Al Walker is leading Binghamton in its first year of Division I competition. Gaining admittance to the America East Conference, which had lost four teams to the CAA, was a huge gain for this program.
