Biggs Has Slimmed

Tyrell Biggs, a skilled 6-foot-7, 260-pound junior big forward from Don Bosco Prep High School in Ramsey, New Jersey, impressed this weekend at the Tom Crotty Memorial Tournament at St. John's University.
Biggs scored 12 points in a 52-49 loss to St. Mary's of Manhasset, New York. Tyrell has lost a significant amount of weight, and his mobility reflected that. Biggs has very quick feet for a player his size, strong footwork, and is a nimble big man. After dedicating himself to a running and swimming fitness regimen and eating a healthier diet, the slimmer Biggs seemed a step quicker and more mobile.

Biggs gave Rivalshoops.com some insight into his recruitment.
"I don't really have a list, but there are schools that I like, like Maryland, Georgetown, and Wake Forest," said Biggs.
Others who have expressed an interest, according to sources close to Biggs, include St. John's, Seton Hall, and NC State. Biggs will likely attract many more suitors as the summer approaches. Tyrell played last summer with the Riverside Church. He may play with the Church again this upcoming summer, but is still up in the air about that.
Biggs is Rivals.com's number 34 player in the class of 2005.
