Big week boosts South Carolina in team rankings

The SEC now has a second team in the 2010 team recruiting rankings after an impressive recruiting weekend for South Carolina. Second-year Gamecocks coach Darrin Horn added up-and-coming post player Damontre Harris, the No. 56 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, and smooth shooting wing Brian Richardson after their late September visits.

South Carolina lands at No. 8 with its five-man class, joining Tennessee as the two SEC teams in the ranking.
Wake Forest also makes a move up the rankings from No. 7 to No. 5 with the addition of four-star big man Carson Desrosiers.
The ACC is by far the top recruiting conference in 2010 with six teams in the top 20 - five in the top 10. The Big Ten is second with Ohio State as the No. 1 team overall and then three other teams.
The Big 12 has three teams represented. The Big East follows with Georgetown and Syracuse - the No. 2 class behind the Buckeyes.
Conference-USA is represented by Memphis at No. 3, and the Atlantic-10 has both Xavier and Dayton in the rankings.
The Pac-10 does not have a team in the top 20.
