Big Man Attracting D-1 Attention

Bernard Lowndes, a lanky 6-8, 185-pound lanky forward from Northfield Mount Hermon Prep in Northfield, Mass., has attracted quite a bit of Division I interest this fall.
Lowndes is a very mobile and athletic forward who plays hard. While he still needs to add strength to his frame and continue developing low post skills on the offensive end, he is an intriguing prospect this fall to many Division I programs.

The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com had a chance to catch up with NMH Coach Bill Batty at last weekend's Boys' Club Holiday Tournament in New York City, and he informed us that Central Connecticut State, Manhattan, Rutgers, Wagner and Stony Brook have all expressed an interest in recruiting Lowndes thus far.
A native of Temple Hills, Md., Lowndes attended Oxon Hill H.S. prior to enrolling at NMH this fall. He had seen some Division I interest last year at Oxon Hill, but opted to attend prep school for both academic and athletic seasoning.
Lowndes does not plan to sign until the spring, and we'll keep you posted on his recruitment.
