Big Get For Calipari

Sean Banks, the versatile 6-7, 200-pound wing from Bergen Catholic High School in New Jersey and one of the country's top 50 players in the 2003 class, committed to Memphis today, according to a source.
Banks previously told RivalsHoops.com that Pittsburgh, Maryland, Memphis, Seton Hall, and West Virginia were at the top of his list. Most of these schools had offered a free ride.

In addition, North Carolina and Rutgers, among others, had expressed interest earlier in Banks' recruiting process.
Banks had an excellent Gibbons TOC on Memorial Day weekend. He was also terrific at the Three Stripes tournament in the early portion of July, the evaluation month during the summer.
Banks can carry a team on his shoulders too. He has nice range on his jumper and can get to the rim with force and aggressiveness. He will be a great pickup for John Calipari and the Memphis program since he has the ability to score from anywhere on the court.
