Big East Takes Look At Agudio

Antoine Agudio, a 6'3'' 185 pound shooting guard from Walt Whitman High School in Huntington Station, New York, has a new suitor.
Agudio hosted Providence for an in-school visit this week. The Big East program hasn't offered, but will give Agudio a look this fall. Agudio has also fielded interest from Iona, Kent State, Marist, and Rider, all of whom have offered. Agudio recently visited Iona unofficially. He will host Marist for an in-school visit in the near future, and Kent State will come in for an in-home visit on September 23rd. Antoine had previously indicated that Kent State had an edge on the competition.

Agudio told Rivalshoops.com that he plans on visiting Kent State officially, as well as Iona, and possibly Providence, if they offer a visit.
Agudio is a lanky, braided wing with a soft shooting touch. Antoine is shifty in traffic, capable of scoring off the dribble, and has a pretty quick first step. Agudio elevates well on his jumper and is blessed with good athleticism.
Rivalshoops.com was pleasantly surprised with Agudio's court awareness. While wing guards are generally opportunistic offensively, and Agudio definitely is, he showed a knack for finding the open man on forays to the rack or slashing drives through traffic.
Antoine possesses a long frame, and will need to bulk up for D-I play. Strength is something he needs to work on, although at the high school level his body control and elusiveness with the ball have helped him compensate for that.
Agudio's stock could be climbing. He will likely suit up with The Long Island Roadrunners for Wayne Simone's Connecticut Select Tournament in October.
