Big East Schools Like NJ Shooting Guard

David Whitehurst, a lanky 6-2 shooting guard from the Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, N.J., has a number of Division I programs eyeballing him this spring.
Lawrenceville Head Coach Ronnie Kane told Rivalshoops.com that Penn, Princeton, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Northwestern, West Virginia, Colgate and Florida International are among the schools looking at Whitehurst early.

Whitehurst had a productive junior campaign for the Big Red, and he will play this spring and summer with Mike Cervellino's Jersey Shore Cyclones program.
A native of Monmouth, N.J., Whitehurst is a capable scorer who can go to the hole effectively or spot up from the perimeter for jumpers. Just how high he gets recruited could depend on his play this spring and summer at a number of key events.
Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on Whitehurst's situation as the summer evaluation approaches, so stay tuned.
