Big East offer for young Gibbs

2008 point guard prospect Ashton Gibbs is at the top of the must see list for this spring. Gibbs, 6-foot-1, 170-pounds from Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, N.J., is having a strong sophomore campaign and has picked up his first Big East offer.
"I'm interested in Rutgers, Villanova, Boston College, Illinois and Georgetown, but I'm not just set on these schools." said Gibbs. "I'm still open. So far Rutgers is the only school to offer."
With his team standing unblemished at 10-0, Gibbs is averaging 16 points, 5 assists and 3 points per game.
A heady ball player, Gibbs is looking to be challenged both on the court and off of the court in college.
"I'm looking for a balance between playing for a good basketball program and getting a good education," he said. "I definitely want to play under a good coach who will help me get better.
"I'm working right now on my quickness, especially my lateral movements on defense. Shooting the ball and creating off the dribble are my strongest points."
