Big 5 school keeps Lindsey home

Nurideen Lindsey, a 6-foot-2 scorer from Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, is not leaving home for college.
According to his AAU coach Rodney Wescott of Team Kobe, the three-star class of 2009 prospect will play at nearby LaSalle.

"The thing with him, he's always wanted to stay close to home," Wescott said. "It was going to come down a Big 5 school...It really came down to LaSalle and St. Joe's. They've been on him the hardest and one of their assistants, Ashley Howard, and coach (John Giannini) really stayed on him."
Lindsey has proved himself both in high school and on the travel circuit as a big time scorer. Wescott said Lindsey's best days are still ahead of him.
"If he can continue on just getting better and learning different ways to improve, the sky is really the limit for him," Wescott said. "His upside is just huge."
As a sophomore, Lindsey led Philadelphia in scoring and looks to be counted amongst the best again this year at Overbrook. The school is no stranger to big time scorers. Overbrook produced Wilt Chamberlain and Maureece Rice, who broke Chamberlain's record four years ago.
