Big 12 Takes Look At PG

Jamaal Tatum, a 6-1, 155 pound point guard from Helias H.S. in Jefferson City, Mo., has generated some solid Division I looks after a fine spring with the St. Louis Eagles program.
Tatum, a southpaw, possesses an excellent burst of speed, which aids him in getting to the basket and setting up teammates for easy buckets.

This past season at Helias, he averaged 27 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals per contest. He also said he has a 3.3 GPA and scored above a 17 on the ACT. If accurate, that would make him a full academic qualifier.
Tatum said that Iowa State has already been in this spring to take a look at him. Others who have expressed interest include Missouri, St. Louis, Austin Peay, Drake, Southern Illinois, SW Missouri State and Wichita State.
Tatum has unofficially visited St. Louis and SW Missouri State.
This summer, Tatum plans to play with the Eagles and also attend a session of the Five-Star Camp in Pittsburgh. We will keep you posted on his play in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
