Big 10, A-10, MAC Like Toledo PG

He's got a fearless competitive streak that belies his baby face, but All-Ohio Red's Brian Roberts proved to be one of the top snipers at last weekend's Spiece Run N Slam Tournament in Indiana.
Roberts, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound shooting guard from Toledo St. John H.S. in Toledo, Ohio, isn't afraid to take big shots, and he made a bunch of them last weekend to help All-Ohio win its pool and finish among the elite eight at the Run N Slam.

Roberts has a quick first step that enables him to wiggle past defenders on the way to the basket, and he has nice form on his three pointer (despite a slight hitch). He's especially adept at hitting the short pull up jumper in the lane, which he did to the chagrin of many opponents last weekend.
In terms of his recruiting, Roberts is on the fence a bit. Mid majors love him, and high majors are sniffing. Clearly, his lack of physical strength is a concern, because he can at times be bodied off shots or off the ball. But what he lacks in strength he makes up for with heart.
Roberts told RivalsHoops.com that he has been offered scholarships by Bowling Green, Toledo, Akron and Miami (Ohio). Other programs keeping an eye on Roberts include Dayton, Xavier, Ohio State and Minnesota.
Roberts, who carries a 3.7 GPA and scored a 23 on the ACT, said he has been invited to the Nike All-American Camp this summer. He'll also be seen quite a bit on the Nike and AAU circuit, where he'll play with All-Ohio Red.
RivalsHoops.com will keep you posted on Roberts' recruitment this spring and into the summer evaluation period, so stay tuned.
