Best of the Best: Saturday recap

ATLANTA, Ga.- Saturday kicked off the second year of the Under Armour Best of Best camp in Atlanta, Georgia and Rivals.com's Dan McDonald was there to watch the big-time talent in attendance. With several highly rated players participating in the camp, including a few 5-star prospects, it was unranked 3-star prospect Jordan Price that stole the show on Saturday afternoon.

2012 SG Jordan Price: The Georgia native continued his impressive Spring by putting up huge numbers during his final game on Saturday afternoon. Even though he didn't take a lot of shots, Price managed to score 26 points while shooting 4-5 from behind the arc. He continued his hot-shooting into the 3-point contest at the conclusion of the day where he finished 2nd place to Christian Sanders, a big-time shooter out of Houston, Texas.

2012 PF Mitch McGary: Somebody in the crowd mentioned that McGary's game resembles that of former UCLA star and current Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love and that seems like a pretty accurate comparison. On Saturday afternoon, he showed off the ability to make beautiful no-look passes, knock down shots, operate on the low post, and rebound at a high level. The 6'10 250-pound prospect also showed off surprising athleticism on Saturday morning during vertical leap testing and agility drills.

2012 PF Robert Carter: If asked to compare Robert Carter to another college or NBA player, a pretty good comparison would be former Georgia power forward Howard Thompkins. Like Thompkins, Carter has a big, strong body and an all-around skill-set. During game play on Saturday, he showed he can step out and knock down jumpers from outside but also do the dirty work inside against elite competition like McGary.

2012 SF J.P. Tokoto: Tokoto had a big day on Saturday, which started with him having the second highest reach in the entire camp on the running vertical jump test. Tokoto continued to show off his big-time athleticism during his games on Saturday afternoon by playing some high-level defense and throwing down some very impressive put-back dunks. Not really known as a shooter, the UNC commit showed he had the ability to knock down jumpers from long range.

2012 SF Shaquille Johnson: Known mostly for his ability to throw down Sports Center Top 10 caliber dunks, Johnson showed on Saturday that he has been working on rounding the rest of his game. Though he's not great off the dribble, he did make some nice plays driving to his right and using his superior athleticism to finish over defenders in the paint.

2012 PF Barnett Harris: The 6'10 lanky post prospect from Pennsylvania showed off some nice post-up game on Saturday afternoon. He possesses a very effective baby hook move to his left and also has nice athleticism to rise over defenders. Right now, he's only got mid-major offers but that could change this summer if he continues to develop his game.

2012 PF Skylar Spencer: The 6'8 210-pound post player is a very good athlete and uses it to make plays on both ends of the floor in the paint, whether it be blocking shots, grabbing big rebounds, or finishing with an exciting dunk.

2012 SF Devonte Thornton: The 6'7 wing from Georgia is mostly known as a slasher but he finally started showing some confidence in his perimeter shot on Saturday. If he continues to work on his shot and combines that with his ability to score off the bounce, he will be come become a very highly coveted prospect by some higher level mid-majors this Summer.

2013 SF Jabari McGhee: McGhee was recently ranked as the #48 prospect in the 2013 class by Rivals.com and he showed why on Saturday. Although not a highly skilled player, the 6'5 195-pound wing is always attacking the basket and he will either finish, get fouled, or both. He's a high energy player that plays very good defense and really hit's the boards hard on both ends.

2013 PG Aquille Carr: At 5'8, 140 pounds, Carr is probably the smallest player at the camp but he also might be the most fun to watch. He's super quick with a tight handle and a big heart. When in transition, he's at his best where he can either use his nice court vision to set up a teammate and attack the basket himself find a way to finish.

2012 PF Shaquille Goodwin listed a top five that consisted of Memphis, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and UCLA. The 6'8 250-pound five-star still plans on playing both football and basketball in college and Memphis, Georgia, and Alabama have said they will give him that opportunity.

2012 PF Robert Carter rattled off a list of Kentucky, Ohio State, Florida State, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Alabama. He plans to take all his official visits before making a commitment.

2012 SG Jordan Price says Auburn is his favorite right now because they are recruiting him the hardest. He also mentioned that Ole Miss and Memphis have offered and Georgia Tech, Georgia, Michigan, and UCLA as showing interest.

2012 SF Devonte Thornton said he has offers from Tennessee Tech, Wichita State, Georgia State, and Tennessee State with Georgia Tech and other high majors showing interest.

2013 PF Chris Walker reported offers from Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Baylor, Alabama, and Georgia. His current list of favorites includes Kentucky, Florida, Kansas, Syracuse, and Ohio State.

2013 SF Jabari McGhee doesn't have any offers yet but he has picked up heavy interest from Ole Miss, Florida State, Georgia, and Oregon.
