Benson Slices List Down
Justin Benson, a skilled 6-6, 240 pound power forward from Gulf Shores Academy in Houston, Tex., is expecting to make a decision within the next week.
Benson told Rivalshoops.com that he anticipates picking a college by Oct. 5. He has sliced his list down to six schools, all of whom he said have offered.

The six schools are Houston, DePaul, Pepperdine, Kent State, New Mexico and St. Louis.
"I plan on committing, visiting the school and then signing in November," Benson said. "I pretty much have an idea of what the schools have to offer."
Benson is slated to sit for the ACT this Saturday, Sept. 28, and also plans on taking the SAT on Oct. 12. Once he posts a score, he will be eligible to take official visits.
However, Benson helps to take care of his niece, and said it is difficult for him to get out for visits on the weekend. If for some reason he picks a school and doesn't have a good visit there, Justin said there's a chance he could open the process back up and take more visits.
